The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Wednesday, January 28 reveals Dominic Winters (Ethan Ray Clark) will think he and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) are playing hide and seek.
Also coming up, Devon Winters (Bryton James) and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) will realize their son is missing. Plus, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will bring Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) on board. And Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will cheer up Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).
Y&R spoilers tease Victoria will run into Nate at Crimson Lights and she’ll tell him her family has lost everything. She’ll rage about her father’s counter attack, because he’s not letting her in on it. So, she’ll say she wants to come up with her own plan.
Nate will chuckle and say he’s missed this side of her. “I know my father needs me, even though he’s trying to protect me from something,” she’ll reply. Nate will ask when the last time was that she ate any real food and he’ll invite her to dinner.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Sally Admits Billy’s No Longer Working There
At Society, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will meet up with Audra. She’ll tell her Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) took Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) up on his offer. However, she’ll assure Audra that Abbott Communications is still okay. And she wants her as her number two. “I will just deal with Jill’s reaction later.”
Audra will thank her but ask what will happen if Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) threatens to pull the funding. “I am not backing away from this,” she’ll reply. “You have always had my back and now I have yours.” Audra will be excited, saying she’s been so down on herself lately. Then Nate will walk in with Victoria.
Victoria will spot Audra and say it’s okay if he wants to go somewhere else. But he’ll suggest they address the elephant in the room. So, they’ll walk up to Audra and Sally. “Hello ladies,” Nate will say, as Audra makes a face. Sally will ask Victoria how her family’s doing and she’ll ask if she’s fishing around for a story.
Victoria will add she knows Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) going to put a negative spin on this. Sally will say he’s no longer with Abbott Communications. Victoria will assume, and rightly so, that Billy thinks he’ll be running Chancellor, and Sally will admit it. Nate and Victoria will head to their own table and Victoria will say Billy’s not going to be running Chancellor for long.
Meanwhile, Mariah will take Dom to the seedy motel she’s been staying at. He’ll think they’re playing an elaborate game of hide and seek. Mariah will tell him she’s got cookies for him from Crimson Lights. But she’ll ask him to wash his hands first. While Dom’s in the washroom, Mariah will flash back to feeding him when he was a baby.
Ian Ward (Ray Wise) will appear and tell Mariah he can’t believe she did it. “You just took a child away from his parents, that took great courage and strength,” he’ll say. “You should be proud.” Mariah will say she’s not, she feels awful. Ian will tell her she needs to get Dom to a safe place and then tell him his parents don’t want him anymore.

“You can be with him always, never leaving his side,” he’ll add. “All you can do is believe in the bright future the two of you have together.” Dom will finish washing his hands and Mariah will say they need to find a new place to hide. “If we go too far, how will mommy and daddy find us?” he’ll ask.
She’ll say he’s going to love how this game ends. “You trust me, don’t you?” And Dom will high five her. They’ll play another game of hide and seek and Dom will hide under a bunch of blankets on the bed. Eventually, Mariah will find him and he’ll giggle and tell her he’s having the best time. “So am I Bowie,” she’ll reply. “So am I.”
Finally, Devon and Abby will look around the Chancellor estate for their son. She’ll get angry when Devon says Dom is just playing and they’re going to find him any minute. “We know our son wouldn’t do this to us,” Abby will reply. But Devon will say maybe they overlooked something and they should look again.
After another search, they still won’t be able to find Dom. Abby will pick up the scarf and Devon will say it’s probably the nanny’s. So he’ll call her, send her a photo of it, and she’ll say she’s never it before. Abby will realize someone was watching them and waiting for the right moment to take Dom.
“Our son’s been kidnapped,” Abby will exclaim, sobbing. Then Devon will call the cops. They’ll arrive and Devon will give one of them the scarf. Abby will tell Devon she’s been praying to Chance. “Cause you know, he’s our son’s guardian angel.” Devon will assure her they’re going to find Dom. But will they?

Whether Ian Ward is merely part of Mariah’s psychosis or not, he needs to go. We have all seen enough of him. I would like to see Mariah forget this bizarre kidnapping plan and return to her own family. Thank goodness for fast forward.
